How much fuel can it carry? Legally, not too much I would have thought.

Just a couple of jerry cans.

Theres no upper limit on the amount of diesel it carries, as long as it is in approved containers. If its carrying more then 10Litres of petrol the brigade will need to inform themselves, and need a licence of the petroleum officer (themselves again)

It doesn't carry jerry cans, it has a proper approved storage tank behind the cab which is decanted into cans by a small pump to then fuel appliances from the cans.
