Commer Magirus DL30H 1959 T.L. Original registration 5222 AC. Photograph taken in l984. Shipped to Perth, Australia, in 1974. Original equipment is in storage. It has not been in service for many years. The bodywork now needs renovation and the ladders need to be replaced. Does anybody know the whereabouts of a suitable ladder set?

Geoff, I would imagine this TL never saw service with the Brigade in Perth but used by a private company as indicated on the signage?

I have just bought the last known surviving one of these appliances in the UK, 113 LKE ex Gravesend, Kent. Will post pics on here soon.

Hi, greetings from the uk. Can you tell me if this vehicle is still around as my dad was in Warwick county fire service and this was his engine. I have several photos of it in service and would love to know its whereabouts.

This appliance belongs in England is is part of fire brigade history. We are working on restoration that will make the journey back 'Home'

The best source will likely be in Germany, where I suspect that quite a few 30 meter ladders of this vintage are still being used by volunteer fire companies.
I suggest you contact Magirus in Ulm, Germany and see if they might be interested in helping you out.
I no longer have personal contacts there, but I do know the firm has a lively interest in preserving its history around the World...
