A 408 light pumper from the Netherlands with bodywork by Ziegler, utilizing standard Mercedes factory van body panels for the crew compartment.
These were used extensively in Germany and the Netherlands at one time, mainly by volunteer fire companies. Specifications varied, but they usually had an 800 to 1000 LPM pump, and either a five man cab with a 500 to 800 liter water tank or a larger eight man cab with no tank. Some others carried an 800 LPM portable pump, and they were also used in a variety of support roles, including light rescue tenders, BA vans and the like, as well as ambulances.
