1953 New Zealand Fire Service Landrover

This photo was taken at the 'Hall Of Flame' museum, Christchurch, New Zealand in 2010. The Landrover was supplied to the Ashburton County Council in 1953 and stationed at the town of Methven till 1984. It was then transferred to be part of the museum collection.

I would love to see a picture of that old turntable ladder at the museum, its a 1952 AEC Regal/Merryweather 100ft TL delivered to the Christchuch Fire Board on the ship S.S.'Norfolk'on February 16th, 1952.The appliance went into service at the HQ Station in Christchurch and served until 1977.It was passed to the Fire Museum(Hall of Flame)in 1980.
