Is this an ex GMC or maybe Cumbria?

No Danny, ex Scotish Fire Service Training School in Gullane. The SFSTS had three Dodge G13 Fulton+Wylie WrL's there in 1996 when I visited and they were E656NSC, E657NSC and F240SSX.

Oops, this isn't F+W bodywork, it's more likely to be the Dodge G13/Mountain Range WrL G637DSC

This is definitely not G637DSC as from photos I have of it only the front cab doors are red, the aluminium bodywork starts behind the cab doors. Everything beyond where the cab tilts is aluminium, and also the window configuration between the front cab and rear crew cab is different.

Andrew - According to my system, only F240 SSX (F&W) and G637 DSC (Mountain Range) went there. I reckon it's G637 DSC.

F240SSX and G637DSC were delivered into a town called Bogatic in Serbia in 2008 by the Blythswood Care Fire project team. They are still in use today, see picture 23766 and picture 23767 which show them just before they were exported. As to the identity of this machine the front grille looks a bit earlier than E reg.

G13s were usually fitted with Perkins 6:354.4 Turbo engines but V8s were available for Fire Appliances - some with Auto transmissions. I wonder what the spec. Is on this one?

The engine above isnt any of those that you have linked ricky, the rear door handles are in the wrong place and the body work on the older one isnt a match either.

The grille on this vehicle was I'm sure in use on "D" reg. The later grille with just the Renault logo was only used for a short time before Commando 2 G series production ceased in '89. Generally "aging" a Dodge by reference to the grille is hazardous as there was a lot of stock around in the mid 80s some of which was several years old. I knew of a G13 commercial on a "C" which had been changed from LHD to RHD plus a later grille which was at least 3 years old on registration. Grille updates on unsold old stock were not uncommon. Admitedly, this is less likely on Fire Service vehicles as they tend to be "High Spec." built to Special Order - but its difficult to be certain !!

My earlier comments were confirmation that it was neither of the suggested machines, this machine is now in Bosnia and I took the other two machines to Serbia in 2008. I think I could safely say that the above vehicle is the Carmichael bodied ex Cumbria appliance C853 MAO which did appear at Gullane for a short time. See picture 1630

I think Peter is right about the "D" reg and grill change. when renault took over Dodge and became Renault/Dodge the grill changed form "E-G" reg as seen in the photos from Ricky's post. In Tayside we had 3 E reg and 3 F reg renault/doges then we changed to volvo and now scania.

Ricky, your correct in saying this is the ex-cumbria motor that was at Gullane for a wee while. Gullane donated the machine to IFRA who in turn donated it to Bosnanks Krupa in Bosnia. She's still on the run there and doing well from what I heard last.

DODGE G13 (1986) is still in operational use within the Professional Fire Brigade of Bosanska Krupa Municipality. He has the role of a naval vehicle.
