Mercedes fire engine in Paris. Perhaps the best known fire apparatus type in France, the Fourgon Pompe Tonne is use as fire engine by more than 75% of French fire brigades. This one is a new Mercedes/Desautel model.

Particularity of this engine is the white sign placed on the lower part of the windshield; it mentions the names of the 5 firemen killed on September 14, 2002, who were on duty on the engine based in Champerret prior to this one.
The white sign placed on the higher part of the windshield is the FS company number.
