Yes thats correct.This Ward Lafrance which appeared in the later series of the TV Series 'Emergency' is now in preservation along with the original 1965 Crown Firecoach pumper from the early productions which later was placed in service at Station 60 of the LA County FD actually on the Universal Studios Lot.Also in preservation is the 1972 Dodge D30 that was featured as the rescue(Rescue Squad 51)squad. All three vehicles from the series 'Emergency' are now in preservation and can be seen at the Los Angeles County Fire Department Museum.
Wow.....(sounds of picking myself up from the floor)...had no idea this was the engine used in the TV show I used to watch when I was a kid!!!! I just thought this was just another fine example of a US Fire Truck. Thanks to Jerry and Peter for the info... Maybe I should have guessed the number plate which reads YCS E51 might have given me a clue?.
Yes, this is it!! It is back in the hands of the LA County fire museum. They have restored it back to is original 51 condition. Check it out on their web site.
is sombody knows the name of the Fire station ? i know its on Village Drive, Yosemite Valley crossing the visitor Parking area in front of the village store, and she still exists !
