Dennis DS151/Dennis Stockton Heath
Dennis DS151/Dennis WrL C101JCA was allocated to Nantwhich in 1986 replacing Dennis R61/Dennis VCA494R which was specially adapted to fit in the old Nantwich fire station. Twin sister C100JCA was allocated to Tarporley replacing Dennis D/Dennis CLG103K. When both Tarporley and Nantwich received new fire stations, both the C reg Dennis DS' were reallocated to Stockton Heath's London Road fire station replacing twin Dennis DS151/Dennis WrL's B492/3BMB.
B493BMB saw further service in Dublin's Tara Street fire station re-registered to 85-D-7913.
Tarporley's old fire station is still standing and is now a sweet shop known quaintly as "The old fire station chocolate shop".

We have The Firehouse Restaurant in Chicago, which is a two bay 1905 firehouse. It is one of several which closed after CFD became motorized, because these stations were built for horse drawn apparatus and were just unnecessarily close to each other. A motor truck was much faster and did not get tired so quickly!
It is actually very nicely preserved, and one of the best places in Chicago for steak - which is saying something!
Ironically it suffered a very nasty fire a couple of years ago, but has now been re-opened after a lengthy rehab. There is also a video of CFD saving the structure on Youtube.
