Tommy why dose it have blue lights if its not an active appliance or is it a spare if and when required

Dont know scally,sometimes there seems to be a bit of confussion as to what has blues and twos and what dosen't

It's a "tax dodge" basically, if it has blue and twos it can be classified as an operational fire appliance and as such it is exempt from road tax etc.

Im sure if a OSU/WRU goes off the run they can call this up as its basicly the same thing

Scots Firey,but all fire service vehicles operational or not are tax exempt like police and ambulance vehicles.
