Kuwait has moved over to a fleet of mainly European fire trucks now, including MAN, Mercedes, Iveco and Scania, but still operates a lot of American light SUV utilities and crew cab pickup truck based Dodge and GMC rescue units - with one of these at virtually every one of their 28 municipal fire stations - to respond rapidly to road traffic accidents.

These are unfortunately all too frequent and often very serious, as the ring road speed limits are routinely ignored and many younger drivers have fast cars but little in the way of driving skills...

As temperatures are often over 100 fahrenheit and reach more than 120 in the summer, I imagine the members are quite pleased to have seen the last of these older open cab trucks!
