1974 at Conleach Road, Speke. This was in the city brigade station serving the airport (now John Lennon) and towed the rescue boat. The Mersey river is right next to the runway and is very wide at this point. see picture 12289 for later life.

Sorry to correct you Petros but this picture is in the yard at Banks Road Garston.The airport Fire Station was at the rear of the station yard and was knon as the airport annex. Banks road station also had a small control room for the airport stations.

Wonderful fire station David. It's a shame the museum could not have moved in to it. Looks rather silly now, but at least it's still erect unlike Conleach Road.
