They were all horible Peter. Should've stayed Flintshire. Heath and his cronies have a lot to answer for. I don't recognise Cumbria. The county of Palatine starts at the Mersey and finishes at Barrow-in-Furness. I have lived in Rhyl nearly all my life and I've been in three Counties. Flintshire, Clwyd and Denbighshire. For God's sake, Denbighshire. No one asked us back in 1994 if we wanted to go into Denbighshire.
No one asked us to go into Mid and West Wales either!! Should have stayed Dyfed, but thats the politicians for you, Modernised in 1996, Modernised in 2003 and now going through modernisation again, still no one is asking us on the ground.
Unusual to see a British appliance with side deliveries - except of course for old pump escapes. These were - and still are - the norm in Germany and Austria, as well as on pumpers exported by German fire appliance builders, but rather unusual elsewhere.
