1975 this later became a special equipment unit and was so labelled. Cocker were a local Southport based firm that built a number of fire appliances including two Leyland Firemaster pumps for Manchester (7596 N and 6900 NF)

Cocker later joined with Charterway Coachcraft of Formby who build a number of DCU's for Liverpool and London Salvage Corps. See picture 36770 for a London example.
