ALF snorkel

American LaFrance 1972
Franklin, North Carolina, USA

Snorkel 1170 has an 85'(?) according the Assn't Chief of the Franklin Fire Dept. The website says 90'. The snorkel was acquired from Greensboro, North Carolina, date unknown. While still on the run, the snorkel is very rarely used and is primarily kept to keep a low fire insurance rating. Besides the boom and deck gun in the basket, it carries ladders and little else in the way of small equipment.

The Dept. intends to sell the snorkel in the next year or two and possibly replace it with a quint.
