It was recorded on here previously as going for scrap at the same time as the Clwyd Volvo's D999TFY,E499UTJ and F888AKC. The EPU at Wrexham gets used as LGV trainer

Sorry, wrong again. M527AEY was formerly allocasted to Caernarfon as a WrL in 1995 along with M525AEY at Llandudno and M526AEY at Holyhead. Transferred latterly to Pwllheli when Caernarfon got Volvo FL6.14/Saxon WrL V48 EUX from Holyhead in 2004.

What went for "recycling" instead Andy. I have not seen E799VWM for a while? This Merc appeared at Wrexham about the same time as P21KEY.

D999TFY, K85 SCC, E499UTJ, E799VWM, F888AKC, G899DKD whilst M527AEY was driven passed us in convoy.

E799VWM was not an appliance that made its last journey to the scrapyard. Amazingly this stalwart was out and about in Ruabon today (yes I did pinch myself!). She looked very healthy, like a rag and T-cut had met with her. Also now has a new front panel possibly off another scrapyard victim.

Hi Richard that pic shows a former Essex Bedford TK being resprayed at Bentwaters, Suffolk. D999 is/was a Volvo (not just any old Volvo though)

D999TFY has indeed began its life as "catfood cans" as has 2nd built E499UTJ, a crying shame. This appliance in the picture has languished in the same position in Wrexham yard since that time.
