Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service - 2010 Volvo Pumps

This is one of the 12 new Volvo FL appliances brought into Suffolk in 2010. (KP10FSK)

I am told these are going to all the wholetime stations and some to Suffolk's 'Line Rescue' Stations, 1 is also being used as a PRT (Pump Rescue Tender), if that is all true, the locations "should" be as follows:

Princes Street x2
Headquarters
Lowestoft South
Bury St Edmunds
Haverhill
Felixstowe
Newmarket
Elmswell
Bungay
Stradbroke (PRT)

I am unsure as to the location of appliance number 12, if anyone can confirm it that would be good :)

Bodywork: Emergency One
Make & Model: Volvo FL 240

I think the 12th appliance is based at Clare because I saw the pump on a blue light run on the 18 September.

That was probably Haverhill on Driver Training. Clare is not due to receive a new pump in the latest move round.

Was on Haverhill on a shout probably in Clare, Clare currently riding Preg spare low height appliance.
This pump is now allocated to Newmarket.

Are the Mercedes TL's still in servce Gent's?

Yea they both are however the dreaded CARP is due back in the brigade this month running as aerial/very basic water tender. It will go Bury to replace there J reg.

As for Clare getting a new pump think it will be a while yet not sure on the brigades. Next order was rumoured to be 5 in 2011 but we will see.

No new pump due for Clare, and the Mercedes TTLs are still in service, although due for replacement within next two years.

Many thanks gent's. Off for two weeks at the end of the month. Suffolk is the final brigade I need to complete the UK fire service scene. I believe if you read the stories, Felixstowe is to be downgraded to retained and the two TL's are to loose their dedicated manning?
