I am told that two of the pumps at Fallings Park and Foleshill have experimental all over red lockers..very 1970's!

I saw the last 2 volvo's at JDC 2 weeks ago.
They are polybilt bodies, unlike the other 10 that were aluminium.
They do have the roller shutters painted red. The pump bay has a single door that lift upwards, like an estate car.
There is no recess for the 135, it sits high up on the roof along with the other ladders, don't know how they are suppose slip the 135 when the pump bay door is open. Time will tell!

Have West Mids FS stopped using the alpha-numeric station codes now? The above machine bears the name of the station, ie., Handsworth but I see no A7. I've a feeling that the old A, B, C, D & E five division system has been replaced with much smaller area commands, and so the letter/number codes are no longer practical. Can anyone confirm this?

All the WMFS station codes are still in use and call signs A071 been the A7 Handsworth's PRL, its WMFS policy that station codes are not neccessery to have them on the appliances as it has got the station name on it and thats all it needs to know.
