Think it was retired in 1989?

Dodge K1050, Registered 1973, Body by HCB Angus/Platform by Simon TSM15, kept at Huddersfield Rd, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.

TSM = tele simonitor 15m.

Started life on a Ford chassis with Lancs then passed to GMC in74. Unless of course West Yorks had more than one.

Ed: I do not think that is right. This Dodge machine has Jennings bodywork and is original. Neal is referring to another Simonitor that started life as a platform on a Ford chassis for Lancashire with HCBAngus bodywork KTD 615K. It passed to GMC in 1974 reorganisation. When this was scrapped the booms were transferred to a Volvo chassis (bodywork unknown probably WYFS workshops) for W Yorkshire. F848SHD. See the following reference where there are pictures:

I have a complete listing of all Simonitors (TSM15s) there were only ten sets of booms ever made by Simon Engineering. Glasgow Scooshers were different. There may have been exports to Australia, New South Wales.

Teh Australian Simonitor is here. I have never seen this appliance before. International chassis I think, Dennis pump. Digitised archives are amazing for researchers!
