Mars, you are in deep stuff right up to your neck mate. This beautiful machine has been the feature of the site for the last couple of weeks, , , , ! Where the heck have YOU been?
Hi Pavel, if the contributor put his information with the photo, I don't have to ask for it. And for your information I've to look after 5 more websites with photos. So if you don't mind I'm not searching the FE site if there is perhaps another photo posted of this vehicle. But no hard feelings "mate" :-)
This vehicle is a Dennis Big 6 built in 1934 new to City of York. It served there till the late 1950s then went to a training school at Gipton fire station in Leeds till some time in the 1960s. It is now owned and run by my Dad Rick and myself Mark Loudon. This Picture was take on The Mall in London in July 2005 during a week long display as part of the VE Day celebrations
Really good shot for detail of the Escape - it must have to be wheeled away every time at the fire scene, for the Pump Operator to get at his pump. Beautiful machine, I was hunting up the other photos of it on this 'Site.
