A replacement for an older Ministry of Interior issued 8, 000 liter tanker. Although may towns have replaced these original tankers with another 8, 000 liter tanker like this one, quite a few have bought larger capacity tankers on tandem or even four axle chassis, holding from 12, 000 to 14, 000 liters or more...

These are used to support structural pumpers at both urban and rural fires, where and when hydrant or open water supplies are inadequate. They are also used at brush and forest fires, although this is not a primary role for them.

The old tankers on Renault and Steyr chassis have I believe all been replaced by now, although a few are preserved.
