Yes, its wood framed, then thin boarded, then covered with a waterproof canvas

I am glad Chris asked first - I had been wondering about those black-painted roofs with the rolled-in edges, my-self.

It would be a challenge for today's Autobody Shop; but then you just take it down the road to a Wood Boat-Builder......
