Dennis RS London's Burning BWG 322T

1995 Dennis factory. This has been re-liveried for the ITV programme. I assume it is a re-registration as well.

This is the correct registration, this Appliance belonged to South Yorkshire Fire Service before being bought by London Weekend Television in 1989 for the Third Series of London's Burning. I think this is the one that is still in Preservation.

In the background we see PDK717 the Rochdale Dennis Metz TL and behind her with ladder elevated is the the Belfast Dennis Metz (OZ9607).

Not sure if this is still preserved or not, all i do know is that VDT 420Y Ex South Yorks/Londons Burning/Caterpillar was at Odiham last year. Will post a picture.

Is this pump still around in good nick as it looks in the picture ?

Still alive and well. Usually kept at the Walthamstow Museum. GYW628W Shelvoke & Drewry (ex London's Burning) also lived there for a while too. Terry Prine has just done a huge restoration project on GYW628W, and it looks superb. BWG322T was at Chingford Open Day a few years ago and looked exactly like this, mint condition.

OK good I'm glad they have survived and are being looked after. I didn't know that the Shelvoke is still about. I thought they may have gone to fire engine heaven.
