1942 Mack Brisbane fire BrigadePhoto of 1942 Mack Brisbane fire Brigade, early 60s. These came to Australia, lendlease from US,as cab chassis. They came to different states.Each state put on their own bodies. To see other types, browse Mack pages.Other states went for closed cabs, where Bsisbane had open ones.They had side mounted pumps.Also they were fitted with hose reel pump driven seperatly from main pump The hose reel can be seen on top of vehicle They could carry crew of upto 6, 3 seated in front, 4 in rear. The one shown here is at Hamilton, a small 1 engine station and was manned by 2 or 3.Note it has 2 bells 1 hand operated,& 1 electric. This was at the time of changeover.
