Hi I am the owner of the above fire engine, I've had it for the past 10 months , previously it was in a farm yard near Porthmadog,I have some histoty.
HI all , i remember it well as i was stationed at Blairgowrie at the time , its sister was at Glenshee , great little appliance which were first used when new in Dundee and were purchased for the narrow streets found round the jute mills of the time ,passed down to retained stations and refurbished and allocated to volunteer stations when the trailor pumps became obsolete , happy days there is now a volvo F12 at kirkmicheal and glenshee with new purpose built community fire stations , changed days indeed!
Hi Derek. Do you still own GYJ41 ? I am the owner of GYJ40 and since the engines are related and served together I'm very interested in the restoration of your engine. Thanks John.
