Hi Andy,sorry to say but this is not a QX.It has a Semi-Horizontal O.H.V. 4,752 c.c 6 Cylinder Enngine.

Puzzling over the Rear Pump arrangements - almost looks like a Portable Pump arrangement, over the other valves....how does it work?

It is a LPP over the main pump prob the only place to stow it. It has nothing to do with the main pump.

Next time I am over in the UK I may try and find this and see it personally. It look beautiful.
Hopefully this year I get my resto-mod started of FPN944. Mine won't be nearly this complete.. I plan on taking it to car shows and letting all the kids jump on it, ring the bell and play fireman..
