Definitely not the Essex County Fire Brigade, but it could have belonged to one of the many works brigades in the Thurrock area. There are many large factories and refineries in the area, many of whom had fire brigades in the sixties and seventies.
Thats more or less correct Murray, this appliance is a 1967 Landrover L4P (Landrover/FWD/Pump) FT6/Carmichael Redwing. It was supplied to UKAE Foulness Island, Essex before being purchased for preservation and owned at the time of this photo by John Morgan of Rustington, West Sussex.

My self Ian Cosham and Gerald Lettres have just purchased this fire engine from Hampshire. It has been dismantled and is in a very sorry state. Our intension is to restore it back to its origional condition. Its new location will be Shoreham By Sea West Sussex. Any information on this truck would be very much appreciated.
