The Flying Phantom Fire Boat
This is the Flying Phantom Fire Boat/Tug which is use on the River Clyde in Scotland. It was launched in July 1981 and is the last Clyde built tug still working on the river. It has two 6 cylinder 4SCSA (254 x 305mm) Ruston 6RKCM oil engines developing 2820 BHP with a single reduction gearbox to a controllable pitch propeller.

The Flying Phantom is no longer in service. She sank, with the loss of three of her crew, shortly before Christmas, 2007, while escorting a ship in the fog-bound, upper reaches of the Clyde. Her towline could not be parted in time, and she was dragged under.
