New locally built RIBs - about 40 units purchased for the Water/Dive Rescue Units. Powered by 2 Mercury outboards. Equipped with Radar, GPS, Sirens & Load hailers. Very fast.

There were around 40 RIBs and 80 Aluminium Boats. A few had Yamahas - but most were installed with Mercury's.

I think this part of the MFRD package of appliances purchasing.MFRD also bought several pumps from Holland plus fire appliances in preparation for the upcoming el nino.

All the RIB's are powered by YAMAHA 200A outboard and the remaining 80 Aluminum are powered with the Mercury 60EFI 4 stroke's which has been breaking down none stop since delivered to MFRD. It's still YAMAHA more reliable compare to Mercury on the marine engines !!!!
