This picture was taken by Lester Solway and is published with his permission. It shows Dennis F28 Water tender Ladder 353MYA which spent all its life from new in 1961 to being taken off the run in 1978 at Glastonbury. It was originally a pump escape before conversion to carry a lacon. The picture is taken in front of the old victorian fire station which had to be pulled down before it fell down (allegedly) in the late seventies. The new station was built on the same site. 353MYA is now in preservation in Taunton.
