To the best of my knowledge it was constructed in the Netherlands and shipped to the US.

My local department just acquired a new Rosenbauer appliance. As with all similar units, it is built in the United States.

It says Central States in the description so it was built by what is now Rosenbauer South Dakota, located in Lyons, South Dakota, USA.

Rosenbauer America bought out several American companies several years back; Central States being one of those companies.The Commander is American made, but available throughout the Rosenbauer empire.

Rosenbauer USA is joint partnership with American investors and only half owned by the parent company in Germany. Hence Martin is correct, Rosenbauers sold in the US are all or nearly all built here.

John and TBone, you're partially right both of you. What is today Rosenbauer America consists of three companies Rosenbauer International of Austria (NOT Germany) bought into (no buy out - the respective owners are still active)and one newly found company. The original companies were Central States of Lyons, SD, General Safety of Wyoming, MN and RK Aerials of Fremont, NE.
A forth company, Rosenbauer Motors, also located in Wyoming, MN, produces the chassis for the Commander and US built Panther ARFF vehicles.

Rosenbauer trucks built in the US are for the US market and export markets which specify according to NFPA standards. I don't think there are any European built Rosenbauers in the US, although the US built ones incorporate components from the parent company in various degrees.

The chassis of the truck seen above is, I believe, HME built as Rosenbauer did not introduce their own custom chassis before 2012.

Thanks for the clarification on Rosenbauer's US operation.

The one year old engine in my town appears to use a Spartan cab/chassis. Its very tall and as with most appliances in this area has a short wheelbase. The engineer (driver) told me that it took some getting used to and that it is very fast and otherwise easy to drive. They were drilling this weekend and I wish that I'd gotten pictures. The remote deck gun has great range and volume.

All or (most) of the helmets in Scotland are by Rosenbauer (Austria). In Tayside all the 60-62 plate Scania RP's are fitted with Rosenbauer pumps. As the newer 64 plates in Scotland by JDC do not. I'm not sure what the 64 plate Volvo's are fitted with?

AFAIK, Grant, Angloco used to be the Rosenbauer distributor in the UK and fitted their engines with Rosenbauer pumps.
Helmets etc. were sold since a few years by a different company which became Rosenbauer UK recently.
