Great shot showing the 2 different Dennis vintages - what are the "Mark's" ?

The left-hand Escape Ladder has a "Ladder Nozzle", on its tip - obviously a Fireman had to climb up to it, to get it operating and aimed...

What did you have to consider, in setting it up at the fire-scene ? eg considering the man's weight acting on the tip, and back-thrust from the nozzle, could it be operated at full-height extension ?

From Canada(which is why I am asking all these questions!)

I was understanding, from Conversations on this 'Site here, that Escape Ladders were used as 'Water Towers', eg stood up alone, and a Ladder Gun, used from the top....so naturally, I asked at first Pic of an Escape, c/w Ladder Gun !
