Fire Engines Photos

Worth mentioning that the ex London / Wessex Volvo FL6.14 / Saxon N46 OHX was sent to Poland by Fire-Aid International and has recently been supplied to an OSP (volunteer fire brigade); when I have more info, I'll let you know where it is now.

As Dave Boulter now owns the ex Hampshire (Fareham) and London's Burning Volvo H373 BTP, it would be worth posting some 'before and after' shots of this appliance.

What do you mean by 'Wessex Volvo'? By Wessex, do you mean the make-believe county invented by novellist Thomas Hardy, or do you mean West Sussex?

Yelp....If you look at the original caption you will see that it mentions Wessex Fire and Rescue who are based at Sopley in the New Forest (Hampshire) and do event fire cover and have other duties that included the cover for the UK testing of the record breaking steam car. Their website can be found at: www.wessexfireservices.co.uk - They are of course based in the same area as Mr Hardy's county but not at Casterbridge.
