The tanker chassis is an FWD all wheel drive. Same chassis was used for airport snow plows.

Brief, "potted" history, from The World-Wide Web:

The FWD(Four-Wheel-Drive) Auto Company was founded in 1912 in Clintonville, Wisconsin, USA; and built a lot of trucks for WW-1, and onward.

A founding member left in 1917, to start the legendary Oshkosh Trucks.

1918 - started a British licensee - led to Quad; and AEC taking over, who went big in 4WD trucks in their own right, for WW-2.

1958 became "FWD Corporation", and in 1963 took over the Seagrave Corporation, well-known makers of fire-engines.

Finally vanished in 2003, after the usual Big Business corporate antics.

FWD were unique, burly, trucks that you saw in specialist Heavy Equipment, like Snow-Plows, Tow-Trucks, Fire Engines, Crash Trucks, etc

Well-done, again; Petros - wonder how this USA FWD wound up in southern part of Africa ?

This is an Oshkosh chassis usually used for oil drilling rigs or desert trucks

I have never been close enough, to either maker; to pick out the identifying particulars.....

For sure the tanker is an Oshkosh. M911 I think -- they were very popular in Southern Africa through the 70s and 80s. In fact, many of the road-going versions can still be seen on the roads in South Africa to this day.
