Seen here in the city centre is this 57 plate appliance fitted with that horrid E-One crew cab, thank god North Yorkshire now buy the full Volvo crew cab it makes them slightly better ....

Just out of intrest the 4 58 plates bought by North Yorkshire seem to be having a few problems, at one point both Harrogates were off the run, and around a week or so ago Tadcasters was replaced by an X reg machine whilst the retained crew had a 51 plate, didn't make sense to me why the retanined pump was the newer one .

John thats a nice shot mate, the stories I hear are the same on this batch. Quality control on a lot of items and others, predictably, just not up to the job. The retained lads are dreaming of times long gone, the full timers, well, they don't know what a fire engine is.

Hi John. Thanks for sharing this photo. North Yorks have another 4, 59 plate Volvo's waiting to go on the run after crew and driver training. They are going to Skipton (Retained) Knaresborough (Retained) Whitby (Day crewed) and Ripon (Day crewed).
