I wonder if this was originally built as a water tender as it has a full crew cab, a locker configuration for a portable pump and is carrying an extension ladder, all of which are unusual for a dedicated foam tender….
it's a foam tender delivered 1955 stationed at Avonmouth, cost £3,500, from Oldlands Motor Body Builders. Source info from Dennis Hill's book on the history of Bristol Fire Brigade.
