Ex- Central Region Fire Brigade Bedford Appliance
An old, but well looked after Bedford, HCB Angus Bodied pump. As far as i'm aware of this was stationed at Bo'ness fire Station not sure if it was there its whole service life. It is seen in this picture at Linlithgow Fire Station Open Day 2007

This must be the best EVER Bedford Tk fire engine i have ever soon what a super fire engine.

Not a Volvo/Scania fan,but where is the Clan Lukas RTA gear and "round the pump" Foam gear? Guess we were spoilt with our Dennis R type and Volvo/Fulton&Wylie in 1980s and 90s, but I know what we would have preferred as Retained with next pump 15/20 mins away and its not history! Horses for Courses,you couldnt beat a Dennis R/RS but tell an accountant that!

Aye Gary, fine for full time cowboys the RS! Retained men didnt need fancy gear, just a length of delivery, an axe and a wet beard instead of a BA! lol!

Dont know John,our Brigade could only afford Stetsons for officers,or Boss Hoggs! We just got "Corky Cromwells" but the RTA gear & Foam,well it helped when you had our FoC(See Clwyd Bedford RL).Deesides LFF walked up a hill faster than it when we had a tanker overturned!

ASK701C was a Highlands & Islands Fire Brigade (formerly Northern Area Fire Brigade and Northern Fire Brigade) appliance and was based at Lerwick in the Shetland Isles. It was registered in the county of Caithness (the SK part of the registration plate), in the northern Highlands.
It was the last pump escape with the brigade and was kept in Lerwick because the escape ladder could achieve better stability in high winds than a 135 ladder.
The appliance came out of service in 1985 and was only then acquire by Central Region Fire Brigade as a preserved appliance and added their own livery to it.
