Does this predate the familiar Merryweather twin screw elevating mechanism? It looks more like the Magirus single screw system.

This must have been fun to drive into intersections in built up sections of Wimbledon, where was originally stationed.

Ideal for spearing the top of an unsuspecting double decker bus!
