Buckley ran XDM-H Commer(Poss XDM809H).These were not that popular apparently in County of Flint/Clwyd due to lack of power on hills.Did Buckley run this at one time too? They were definately at this as my friends father remembered it well.Buckleys Commer was replaced by Dennis R/Rolls Royce NEY288R.
Deeside ran XDM809H. UDM286G went to Buckley in 1977 when Deeside were allocated LJC490R. Both Rhyl and Deeside ran three pumps in those days. LJC490R, GDM 80K and XDM809H at Deeside and ODM446L, BDM949J and NDM139E at Rhyl. XDM never served at Buckley
XDM must have been in Buckley at one time as I have seen photo of it outside old station in Mold Road and present Station. Also the Clwyd staff magazine Aquarius had a report of it sell off to Africa listing it as Ex E3 Buckley. Buckley did have photos on station of all pumps they were allocated at one time(when Sub/O tony Edwards was OIC)dont know if they still have.
