Humberside F17 Dennis Metz
The fate of this wondeful machine has been told in previous postings, see pictures 10598 and 10602. It is now safe amongst friends and a little bit of time has been spent restoring her 'sparkle'.
Going to auction unfortunately resulted in more damage. Peoples natural curiosity to tug at locker doors (which were swollen closed) resulted in handles and the exterior stucco aluminium cladding being pulled free from the underlying wooden frames.
(If I had removed the piece of cake from the front bumper it would have been a better picture...).

Warms my heart - and really well done Dr B !!! I knew EJV 955 from her delivery, being a native of Grimsby. I have some pictures and news cuttings of her in action. Wonder where it is you've got her and whether she is far away from me? I'm in Hungerford, West Berks. Hearty congratulations again !

Just in case anyone else doesn't know, I hope to show the progress with EJV at www.dennisfire.co.uk.
With the exposure to the elements a lot of the chrome work has deteriorated quite badly. This will all be removed this weekend so for a little while EJV will not be at her best.
