Another US engine on the RAF base. I think the chassis is Freightliner (Daimler-Benz subsidiary), but could be International. It's hard to tell from this angle.
Hi John, It's quite a strange numbering system. Some vehicles do follow in sequence and some acquire new numbers May I suggest you visit dodfire.com In the left hand menu click on fire trucks, then use the drop down menu at the top of the page, and a list of all the numbers will appear along with a selection of pictures. Have fun

Rear dump valve (that large cylindrical spout), side dump valve(s) also for filling PortaTanks (mobile dams).
Also Storz ("Sexless") Couplings for hooking up Large Diameter Hose in moving Water Supply.
Probably Automatic Transmission up front; a quarter-turn only is required for these hermaphrodite couplings - no worry about male and female ends; the Dump Valve is operated by push-button electric motor......gad, how much more "lazy" can these "ex-Colonials" get, eh John ?!
And, of course, all the hose joined up, in the front Cross-lay Beds......
BTW Patented by Carl August Guido Storz in 1890 in Switzerland; widely used in Germany's Fire Brigades.
