Rob, I take it Penguin is a retained or volunteer Fire Brigade? I was wondering how come these two pieces of historic equipment (Dennis and trailer pump) are located at this location?

hey mate,
The Tasmania Fire Service houses museum pieces with brigades around the state and rotates them through a museum, allowing them to have a good selection of vehicles. Having said this the Dennis seems to spend a fair bit of time here! The VW trailer pump is still operational. The brigade is a mixture of retained and volunteer members. Hope this helps.
