This one was actually used with the Thrust SSC supersonic speed record project in the late 1990s. Thrust 2 claimed the record in 1983 supported by an older Jaguar (RDU 941W) which was previously the world's fastest appliance until this new one came along and took the record. Both are now in the Coventry Museum after serving at Silverstone.
