Bedford Miles water Tender Escape

This appliance ex Hawker Siddely Aviation and then British Aerospace at Brough in East Yorkshire ( I think) was sold at the Thimbleby and Shoreland Auction near Spalding on Saturday 10th August it originally had a steel Merryweather 50' escape

Early compact water tender escape? I seem to remember a very similar unit at Stockton in the mid sixties...
