Danny,V741 FCR to the left of this picture is not one of Lancing's,it was,and still is at this time Findon's Dennis Rapier.

When did the Dennis Rapier leave Lancing Pete, and what has happened to Findon's previous appliance.

Danny,I'm slightly confused?.Findon's Rapier(V741 FCR)I photographed last year attending the Open Day at Littlehampton, and also photographed the same appliance at Lancing when attending the 40th Anniversary bash this year-they still have the same appliance today as far as I know????. Reference Lancing's appliances, the 1st pump at this time is the Rapier-W689AOR,and the 2nd pump is the Rapier-P824JPO.The new Scania was last Thurday 8th October still sitting in the drill-yard at the station?,and I've no idea when it will be put on the run.Pete.

The Rapier in the picture, V741 FCR, was new to Hurstpierpoint in 1999, moving to Findon in January 2007,(Crawleys Scania HX53 WNU to Hurstpierpoint),replacing Rapier P821 JPO which became a reserve. As Findon is the least busy of the 28 stations in West Sussex it gets invited to most open days in the area as it does not affect operational cover too much - it has certainly been at Lancing, Worthing & East Preston open days this year, and yes as Pete said, it is still at Findon, and should remain there for a bit.
