Already been decomissioned from service.In 1999 i used to drive along the Jalan Manggis where i found a house where the olm Brunei DCA fire appliance is kept.At that house i found the Chubb RIV and a Extending staircase vehicle (i don't know what the make).But now the house is gone along with the fire appliance.

The staircase unit could have been the Bedford/Pyrene one.

I used to drive one in at an Air Base in Saudi Arabia. Was a really nice truck.

Brunei DCA Fire Department still used this crash tender at their no.2 sub-station which provide fire cover for the hangars at the Brunei International Airport (BIA).

This vehicle has a rear mounted Detroit Diesel 8V92T 430 bhp engine

I am a airport fire officer in sri lanka.we got this type of 03 fire vehicles on year 1981.we still use 02 vehicle as air craft crash tenders

Worked for Avco-Dallas at Jeddah airport maintaining the three Pathfinders three Patrollers and two Chubb R.I.Vs in the early 80s was threre when the Queen landed in Concorde , went to an emergency involving Turkish airlines 727 with me sitting astride the V16 engine on a Pathfinder ( long story)
