Excellent picture (& the station shot with the Bedford as well). Yes The Dennis Ds with Jag engines did sound fantastic - i must start some research on East Sussex - I'm good on West Sussex FB history, but i ought to learn more about the otherside of the County, so thanks for these pictures & keep them coming. We had a Leyland plant in Belgium which, among other things, built APCs for NATO using the same Jaguar engine.

It was a nightmare, and about 20% of these front line combat vehicles (which cost a fortune to manufacture) were dead in the water with engine problems at any given time.

It should never have been used in the D series, or any other emergency vehicle application.
