FDNY 10 HOUSEThis fire station must be the most photographed station in the world. This is 10 House in Liberty Street, Manhattan, New York. This station has Ladder 10 and Engine 10 and is just a few yards from the site of the World Trade Centre. This station in New York with lots of other stations lost a number of firefighters when the Twin Towers collapsed on 9/11. The station has been rebuilt since 9/11.

The'Ten House'is one of only 2 firehouses within the FDNY that have apparatus that are numbered the same, the other being Engine Co52/Ladder Co52 at 4550 Riverdale Ave in the Borough of the Bronx.
Ten House suffered significant damage and was nearly destroyed on September 11,2001 but although it was unable to be used as a firehouse following the collapse of the towers, during the early days of the rescue and recovery operations and clean up of the site the firehouse was used as a rest and recuperation station,as well as a command post for all the departments operations on site.
