The mix of fire vehicles don't look so "In action" or ready? Is this a maintenance yard?

It was a culture shock to me - but in Turkey, fire stations as we know them often simply do not exist, especially in rural areas. Fire engines (if the local council has any) are often parked in the backyard of the town hall, among diggers, dumper trucks, dustcarts, etc. They carry only the most basic equipment. If needed, they are manned by council employees with (hopefully) some training. In many cases, they are used for other roles (e.g. for street cleaning - I've seen this in Ugrup!) Professional fire brigades can only be found in larger towns, and even in those cases

these pumper/tanker/TTL triple combinations are typical for turkey, they are often kept outside or just in a carport it seems to be a very modern BMC. Older ones were often used in a tanker/road cleaner double comb.with spray noozles under the front(good way to save money in thight public budgets)

Thank you for the comments on the above photo. In the smaller towns and villages the fire service is run by the local Belediyesi (Council). In Hisaronu there were 2 firefighters on duty for 24 hour shift and then other council workers would be called or redeployed to firefighting duties as required. There was also forest fire appliances running around, with red and green livery and a white mini bus with firefighters in but I never got chance of a photo of these.

Thank you, I can get the same feeling are in Cyprus and working for one year. The Village here has little organized fire protection. See the photo from Alassa. The truck parked outside the town hall.
