Hi Morgan this appliance was a TLP with St Helens County Borough Fire Brigade from 1958 - 1978 stationed at 1 Par Stocks Rd St Helens Cb - 1974 then E1 St Helens Merseyside FB - 1978. The Ladder was Re - chassied onto a Dennis F125/Dennis Reg No A49HKC. I got this information from The Fire Brigade Handbook Special Appliances - Volume 2.

This appliance was actually from 1959 and was an AEC/Mercury Merryweather Turntable Ladder and was new to St Helens County Borough Fire Brigade.Its station location was was Parr Stocks Road in St Helens where it served until 1974,then continued serving at the same station after 1974 under the Merseyside Fire Brigade finally going out of service in 1978.
The ladder from this appliance was Re-chassied onto a Dennis F125/Dennis-reg A49 HKC which then saw service until 1984 with the Merseyside Metropolitan Fire Brigade.

KDJ 404 was a TTL/pump at St.Helens C.B Fire Service. it started out at the old HQ at Parade Street bihinh the Town Hall. as it was so large it was kept in the AFS garage in Hospital street. When the new HQ opened at Parr it was moved there. In the late 60's early 70's it was re-painted WHITE as most of the fleet at St.Helens in those days.I was at Parr in my early years as a fireman and turned out on the TTL on a number of times. you will notice it had a pump fitted as all St.Helens appliances had, evn the E.T came with a pump that was removed after a couple of years as it was easier to get a pumping appliance than a special.As you say the ladders were put on a new chassis by Merseyside. That appliance was later sold and went to somewear like Garna.
