Ex-West Sussex Fire Brigade 1961 Bedford TJ/HCB-Angus Water Tender.Check-out(picture 710 )for more information on this one and its history.
The appliance when new was allocated to Steyning fire station,a one-pump retained station newly opened that same year.
It is thought at least another 2 of these West Sussex Bedfords are still in preservation today,a 1960 Bedford WrT that served at Lancing(reg-3970 PX),and another Bedford from 1962(reg-43 EPO)which served at Littlehampton.Can anyone confirm this,there locations if known,and does anyone have any pictures please?.Also another that was in preservation was a 1962 Bedford that served at Storrington(reg-41 EPO).Could this one also still be around today in preservation?.
Any help on tracing the mensioned appliances,and any pictures would be most appreciated.Thankyou.
